Supergirl

Chris just looked at this and said "OH NO. WHAT IS HE DOING?" He really didn't notice the dress, he just wanted the cape. Probably not a good thing that both of my recent blogs have had my boys in girl's clothing?

Eva, Travis and Emma. At least Travis is holding a sword?

Jen Hoffmann, Ingrid Kemp and me. Chris said when he took this picture "just like every other picture I've seen from college." I thought that was quite a compliment to us! From taking 2 hours getting ready in the evenings to go out (while drinking) back in the day.......... to showering kids in the locker room at the pool in minutes (while drinking). HA!

The kids and I went to the Minnesota zoo with Sue and Andrew. Sue and Andrew left before everyone was so tired that they had to all get in my one stroller.

Luke is so easy that he just falls asleep while playing. Also, his nap schedule is last on our list of things to do usually, so he just sleeps wherever.

Then again, when you have entertainment like this, why would you ever need to complain?

Eva, Luke, Andrew Evens, and Travis.

Travis teaching Andrew how to be ridiculously stupid. Andrew, you're going to have to practice a long time to get this dumb.

Pretty boy Lukey

I really think that Eva (top) actually looks more like a boy than Luke does if you just had to guess which one was the boy? Luke is about 1-2 month older than Eva was in this picture I tortured him with by dressing him like a girl. The eye color is really the main thing different between these two?

All three kids at 6-7 mos. Luke definitely looks more Buckhouse than the other two ever did with that long, narrower face he has. When I look at Luke, I always think he looks just like Eva. But in these pics, I really think Eva and Travis look the most alike. I couldn't find a picture of Travis in that Vikings outfit. I also couldn't find a picture of Travis without a bib or drool running down his poor little messed-up mouth.

This is the beautiful woman, Sheena, that my brother, Adam, is marrying on May 31st. He must be so, so, so busy with wedding planning.... maybe getting a pedicure or something.... because otherwise he would never forget to call one of his nephews on their birthday?

Travis turns 3 years old already!!!!!!!! Which means that he gets to have his first "friends" party in our house. From left, Jamie and Cayden from daycare, Eva, Travis, Colten from daycare, Brady our neighbor, and a PT friend's son, Kaden.

Chris doing a "mission" of a scavenger hunt with the kids. Although, they found the rocket that they were looking for before the game even started. Chris showed outstanding parenting skills to keep them going at the game however.

Playing the infamous "raise your hand if...." game. The problem was that the 3 year olds in the bunch, Travis, Jamie and Colten, raised their hands for every question and got the wrath of Eva on them.

Colten, Cayden and Travis. I was way more into the "little einstein" themed birthday party that Travis picked in comparison to Eva's "barbie and the island princess" birthday theme, as you can see by all the stuff I bought a month ago. You can also see the beautiful apron that says "best mom hands down" that my children made for me for Mother's day at Sheila's (daycare.) Yes, that woman had her 8 daycare children all paint their hands and make aprons. That woman is a saint!!!!!!!

See what I mean by getting into the Little Einstein theme? I borrowed a bunch of music stuff from the music teacher at Casselton to decorate with. Love it!

What do ya gotta do at a Little Einstein's birthday party? Listen to classical music and play your instruments! Above is Kaden.....

and this is our neighbor, Brady. Our house did sell.... which is yippee skippy because if I had to clean this house one more time I would go insane... but it's sad because we'll be leaving awesome neighbors. Just to make me feel even more sad about it, Brady gave Travis a truckload of presents, including a lawn mower bubble blower that Travis always plays with at Brady's house but will soon need his own. That part just stinks. Eva will be leaving a best little girl friend too. But, I am so glad that it is over with selling the house. We close on June 15th and hope to be moved in on Memorial Weekend (that will never happen, but Chris seems to think it will.........)

Travis' Buckhouse birthday with Grandpa Gerry and Grandma Tree at Space Awiens.

I cut off 10" of hair and donated it. I wanted to just go shoulder length, but I figured I'd just go as short as I could stand so I had more to donate. One of my forgetful friends asked me how I was styling it? Silly, silly, silly, forgetful friend.....style is not part of my daily language. HOWEVER if I were going to style it, which I might do once or twice, I would straighten it and it would look so pretty like it did when I left the salon. Alas, it will be stuck in a clip and frizzy and curly, just like when it was long. It's nice to not have baby barf in it though.

So, also for mothers day, Eva made this thing at school. It was a fill in the blank questionaire that her teacher helped her fill out. Statements like "my mom's favorite color is_____" and "my mom's favorite food is_______." Well, the first one was "My mom is very______"..........
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Eva said "My mom is very hungry." She said "I was going to put beautiful, but I thought hungry was better." I think I scarred her vision of me forever with all the food I ate while pregnant with Luke.

Travis' birthday party at the lake with the cake Grandma Lois made for him. Travis said the funniest Chris thing ever. Now, I would expect this out of a 5 or 6 year old, but not a three year old. He likes to stick food on his face and say "wook mom, wook" (Translation for those of you without toddlers "look mom, look") because that's just so hilarious to him. Anyways, he was sticking marshmallows on his face and says "wook mom." I say "I'm not going to look if it's stupid." He takes the marshmallows off his lips and says "It's not stupid, it's funny." I had to look twice to make sure Chris wasn't sitting there.

Travis and the green truck with motorcycles that he got from Grandpa Clint and Granma Lois.
Jack, Cody, Travis and Jed (the Hanson cousins) all at the lake playing UNO.

The kids going in to greet Lukey in the morning. They're so sweet!

You wouldn't believe how excited Eva and Travis were to have Lukey watch his first Baby Einstein video. This is the movie theater that they set up for the occasion.

This is a great pic of Luke's crazy hair. And a great pic of him struggling, struggling on his tummy because he is 4 1/2 months old and really can't roll over yet and is a pediatric physical therapist's son....... at least he's my third weakling so I'm not that concerned.

Luke and Travis in their bibs.

This is a cute baby. I like him lots.

middle child syndrome

Middle Child Syndrome: Poor Travis. He is just so abused and would not smile for the Easter picture with his brother and sister.

" My mommy thinks I'm really cute and can't stop sending out pictures of me."

-Lukey

Our new house! It will look this bare and empty until we sell our other house! Yes, you may think that it's the house we have now...... they really have a similar look, nothing fancy. Just a different floor plan, it's a rambler instead of a bi-level. Pretty much are moving to get a mud room.

This is the backyard that Toni will be able to easily run away from us every time we forget about her outside. The neighbors we have now know her name and just tell her to go home. I'm sure that without the fence, people will quickly hate Toni. At least it's an open field for a few years so she won't get run over as she disappears. There is a bike path in the backyard. The city planners tell us the field is zoned for single family homes.........watch a huge walmart go up there some day, that'd be our luck.

The previous owners thought it'd be a good idea to panel a room downstairs and put up sticky tiles on the ceiling. Nice.

Chris's future "poker room" and "anything else Erika wants him to get rid of" room. The third stall is heated and seperate from the rest of the garage. Hopefully we have cool neighbors that will want to partake in garage partying. Also, hopefully we have cool neighbors because we realized today that their house is about 4 feet from ours on one side.

We have a 5 year old

Luke is almost 3 mos old. You can see his cute little dimple in the picture above. It also looks as though his hair may be coming in blonde????? His eyes are still blue so maybe????

Calli, Emma and Eva-they all went to Sheila's (daycare) together last year before the other two went to kindergarten.
We have now been parents for 5 years. Eva had a 5th birthday party on Sunday. She wanted "barbie and the island princess." Not sure why since we didn't even own a Barbie until she got some for gifts. But, she's becoming much girlier these days and into those things and dresses and stuff.

All the girls eating cupcakes at the party.

Playing musical chairs.

So, I didn't do all "barbie and the island princess" games, just got some games off the internet. Well, one of the games was to wrap up in toilet paper and have races. That was fun for 5 minutes. BUT, what was really fun was the game that got started of burying people in the toilet paper. Everyone took a turn getting buried.......

.... and then they played Mr. Fox to wake up the sleeping fox buried in toilet paper. Who knew that would be so fun? Not one of the games I found on the internet to bury children in toilet paper.

Eva and Crysta, who go to Sheila's together.

The other really fun game that got created at the birthday party was to sit on the ledge around our basement and pretend that they were dolls. Here are all the dolls that were at her party.
